Please read the contest entry rules below before applying. By entering, contestants will be deemed to have agreed to these terms.

These terms are subject to change without notice, so please visit our website each time you apply to check for the latest information.

1. Eligibility

Anyone can enter.
You must follow one of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s social media accounts (@tokyo_gov) to participate.
There is no limit to the number of entries submitted per person. You can enter as many times as you wish during the contest period.
Entry photos must be those taken in Tokyo by the contestants themselves.

2. Precautions

Please note that from the entries submitted during the contest period, we may use, without compensation, photos selected by our organization to be posted on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s social media accounts, as header images on social media profiles, and in Tokyo promotional videos.
In posting, we may modify the photos when necessary so that they fit the structure of our website. There is also a possibility that the contestant’s name or nickname, as well as the comments you provided at the time of entry, may be posted on the accounts.
We may also use the photos, without compensation, for other public relations purposes (such as social media, websites, printed materials, etc. operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government).
Photos submitted to other contests or created using free images and/or stock photos are not eligible for this contest.
The copyrights of submitted entries belong to the contestant.
Please ensure you do not infringe on third-party portrait rights, copyrights, and other such rights when taking photos for contest entries. Photos where an individual’s face is identifiable may be exempt from selection.
Photos that violate public order and morality will not be accepted.
Photos that clearly indicate the addresses of private properties are not allowed.
Contestants cannot revoke their contest entry once submitted.
Contestants shall bear all expenses such as internet connection and packet data fees incurred by their entry.
The contest schedule is subject to change without notice.
You will not be contacted by our organization when your photo is posted on social media or in promotional videos. Please check whether your photo has been posted by viewing our social media posts and videos.

3. Privacy Policy

The collection, use, and management of personal information shall be appropriately handled by our organization as follows.
The personal information provided through contest entries will be used for contestant verification, contest-related communication, and as non-identifying statistical information for related activities. Moreover, this information will not be disclosed or provided to a third party without the contestant’s consent, except to a contractor entrusted with the operation of the contest, and except when required by laws and regulations.
The personal information submitted by the contestants will be discarded upon the conclusion of this campaign.

4. Disclaimers

Our organization shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by the contestants, third party damage, and system failure that occurred in connection with entering this contest, unless it results from intentional or gross negligence by our organization.
Additionally, we may take measures deemed necessary such as blocking accounts and deleting posted content related to this contest if we have concluded that the contestant has violated these terms. We shall therefore not be liable for any damages incurred by the contestant unless it results from intentional or gross negligence on the part of our organization.
